To optimise the noise cancellation, press and hold the noise cancelling button and activate Artificial Intelligence Noise Cancellation (AINC) and adapt noise cancellation to your environment. Background noise is analysed and adjusted for optimal performance on aeroplanes and other noisy environments. Keep your music playing all day. A built-in Li-ion battery delivers up to 35 hours of power and is rechargeable via USB. Quick charging gives 60 minutes of play back from 10 minutes of charge. Tune your headphones to your sound with the free Sony headphone connect app for android and iOS. Easily adjust audio levels and digital sound field modes with a range of pre-sets and customisable EQ settings. The noise canceling effect may not be pronounced in a tranquil environment, or some sound may be heard. If there's little ambient noise, it's advisable not to switch on the noise canceling function, as it needs ambient input to function optimally. Noise cancellation doesn't transfer during telephone calls. Although it protects the headphones user from the surrounding noise, it does not apply to the receiver of the call, they will potentially hear background noise. Depending on how you wear the headset, the noise canceling effect may vary, or a beeping sound (howling) may occur. In these cases, take off the headset and put it on again. The noise canceling function works for noise in the low-frequency band primarily (train, airplane, engine noise). Although noise is reduced, it is not canceled altogether. If you use the headset in a train or a car, noise may occur depending on environmental conditions. It's not advisable to wear noise-cancellation headphones while driving, as taking notice of traffic sounds is essential for your safety. Mobile devices may cause interference and noise. If this occurs, move your mobile devices away from the headphones. Don't cover the microphones. The noise canceling function or the Ambient Sound Mode may not work optimally, or a beeping sound (howling) may occur. In these cases, take your hands off the headset microphones.
